Supetar is a very calm little town situated in a bay on the island of Brac faced towards Split. It is the capital of the island and one of the main tourist destinations on it. It is well connected with Split (ferries). It is a good place for those who like to enjoy peaceful vacation. The town has a few historical building and a very charming promenade around the small marina, at the east side of the town there is some excellent beaches, some of them with pure white sand.

Things to see in Supetar:
We recommend you to visit the church of Annunciation of Mary from the 18th century, Leroj (clock tower) and Church museum that surround it. At the entrance to the museum, there is a sculpture of St. Viktor, the work of the sculptor Petar Jaksic, who is also the creator of the sculpture of Mother Teresa at the entrance of the church yard. Inside the church, the altarpiece Madonna with saints, the work of local amateur painter, Felix Tironi (1722-1808), the organ is the 1737th Peter made Nakić.
Where to eat in the city:
Supetar, like all the other island towns offers a large variety of seafood. That's why in the restaurants around the town you can find all types of fish, squids, shells, etc with a tasty flavour of olive oil. Some of the famous restaurants are Bistro Brentos, Dolac restaurant, Double Blue Restaurant, etc.

By Ferry: The ferry line between Split and Supetar is one the most frequent in Croatia, during the summer months there is around 20 daily departures, be aware that the ferry harbour is packed during summer month, especially on Saturdays, so it can take some time to get to the terminal – same goes terminal on Supetar when you have to get back to Split.
