Residents of the island of Krk for centuries have bred sheep, and are masters at making cheese with which they begin or end their meals. Lamb from this island is a famous and delicious Croatian product, because the sheep live outdoors in unpolluted nature and feed on various Mediterranean herbs.
If you're still on the lookout for entertainment in Šilo (because there are no nightclubs in Šilo) get ready for cave diving. Couple of miles away from Šilo there is a magnificent cave Biseruljka, which is certainly worth paying a visit. Installation of electric lights inside the cave has considerably increased interest in its rich galleries filled with numerous stalactites, stalagmites and calcite pillars. You will be amazed by the look of this cave; it is really spectacular. However, that’s not the best place to spend the night in Šilo. Who would have thought that Šilo has so much to offer.
