Orebic is situated on the peninsula Pelješac which is the second largest Croatian peninsula, the peninsula is connected to the main land 50 km north of Dubrovnik. It has a surface of 355km2 and is 65km long. The municipality Orebic stretches from Trstenik to Lovista and it has a lot of sandy, sunny beaches. It is situated on the Southside of the peninsula, where there is less wind and much more sun compared to north side of the peninsula. The mountain St George (peak 961m), raises up behind the city.
